National Media and Marijuana Grow-sites

Illegal grow-sites on public lands are not a new problem. The cartels have been harvesting pot in our national parks for years. The marijuana farms are causing terrible and irreversible environmental damage. This is a theme that I address thoroughly in my new novel POINT DUME, which will be released in May 2010. There is a major article in today’s New York Times that goes into great detail about the issues. The facts of this situation mirror the themes in my book and it’s something that I think everyone should know about. Last week there were two very good articles on this same subject in the Los Angeles Times on August 17 and August 19. The cartels are working all over this country–not just in California. It’s a national problem.
